In the heat of summer, after multiple wage cuts by fat railroad companies that relegated workers to starvation, one man quit his train and set off a chain reaction across multiple states that led to government militias backing the corporations and eventualy opening fire against strikers in St. Louis who didn't have access to weapons they were promised by their own leadership.
